Petition of R. K. Rice and others, praying for a Bank at Foxcroft - read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of Samuel Redington and others for a Bank at Vassalborough - read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Bankings [Banking] in concurrence.

Petition of John N. Davis and others, praying that townships No. 2. and 3. in third range, east of Kennebec River may be incorporated into a town by the name of Kingsbury - read and referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns in concurrence.

A message was received from the Governor communicating the Address and Resolutions on the subject of Slavery, adopted by the General Assembly of the State of Alabama - read and referred to the Committee that have the South Carolina Resolutions under consideration. Sent down for concurrence Concurred.

Mr Benson, from the Conferees upon the disagreement of the two Branches of the Legislature in relation to an Act to fix the Compensation of Superintending School Committees made a report recommending that the Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed
