Thursday, January 29, 1835.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Bill relative to the safe keeping of persons lunatic or furiously mad; " additional to increase the Salary of the Register of Probate in the County of Penobscot; " in addition to an Act incorporating the Hallowell Ferry Company; " to incorporate the town of Edinburg; " --- Enfield; " --- Passadumkeag; " to annex part of the territory north of Albion in the County of Kennebec to said town; " to annex certain land belonging to Jonas Jordan to the town of Raymond, and the same were severally passed to be enacted.

The same Committee reported as correctly engrossed Resolve in favor of Israel Davis and Jacob M. Russell and the same was finally passed.

Remonstrance of John Mulliken and others, " of D. M. Smiley and others against the establishment of a Municipal Court in Hallowell, severally read and referred to the Select Committee that have that subject under consideration.

Petition of Trustees of Waterville College for pecuniary aid - read and referred to the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, in concurrence.
