286 The Committee, on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, reported notice to next Legislature on petition of Stephen Sewall and others - read and recommitted in concurrence.

Memorial of R.H. Gardiner and others, in favor of the petition of Stephen Sewall and others - read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, in concurrence.

Mr. Emmons, from the Committee on the Judiciary, to which was referred the petition of Cullen Sawtell, made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration thereof, and that the same be referred to the Delegation from Somerset - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve authorizing the appointment of Auditors to investigate the unsettled accounts of Lottery Managers, came up from the House recommitted, with instructions to report an Address to the Governor and Council to remove such managers from Office. The Senate nonconcur with the House in the recommitment of said Resolve and adhere to their former vote passing the same to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Barnard, from the Joint Select Committee, to which was referred an order relative to allowing the State Treasurer extra pay for Clerk hire, reported reference to the next Legislature - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
