Adjourned. Afternoon. Mr. Purinton, from the Committee of Conference to which was referred an "additional Bill regulating elections," made a report recommending that the Senate recede from their former vote and adopt the amendment proposed by the House ---- read and accepted.
Bill relative to Innholders, Retailers and Common Victuallers came up --- The House, insisting on their vote passing the same to be engrossed, propose a Conference, and appoint as Conferees, on their part, Messrs. Jarvis, Washburn and Holmes. The Senate insist on their vote refusing the same a passage and concur in the proposition for a Conference and appoint as Conferees, on their part, Messrs. Purinton, Read and Fish.
Mr. Emmons, from the Committee on the Judiciary to which was referred an order relative to fees receivable by Clerks of Courts, or so amend the Laws as that the Clerks shall be accountable for said fees to the County Treasurers, made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration thereof -- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
