347. and nays, was decided in the negative, and the Senate adhered to their former vote as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Allen, Burnham, Emmons, Farnham, Miller, McLellan, Prescott, Purinton, and Smith, 9. Nays. Messrs. Brown, Clark, Fish, F. Greene, Latham, Mantor, McIntire, Pierce, Read and Robin, 10.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed "Bill for the relief of Poor Debtors." The Senate reconsider their vote passing the same to be engrossed, amend the same by striking out the words "in civil actions," in the first section, and inserting in lieu thereof, on contract; and further amend by striking out the 15th section and alter the other sections to correspond therewith, and order the same reengrossed as thus amended, of which the House were informed by message and their concurrence requested.

A message was received that the House had concurred in the proposed amendments and the order to reengross the "Bill for the relief of Poor Debtors."

Resolve on the Pay Roll of the Senate was read twice and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
