  ating a quantity of land to supply the defi-
  ciency for the benefit of officers, soldiers etc)

-"- for the repeal of a Resolve providing for the appointment of School Commissioners (reported by Mr. Purinton from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions on an order relative to that subject) severally read once and Monday next eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Resolve for the endowment of the Maine Teachers' Seminary (reported by the same gentleman from the same Committee on the same subject) severally read once and ten o'clock, on Tuesday next assigned for a second reading.

Resolve requiring the Treasure to pay the mem- bers of the Legislature in Gold and Silver came up from the House further amended. The Senate reconsider their vote passing said Resolve to be en- grossed, adopt the amendments proposed by the House and pass the same to be engrossed as amended in concurrence.
