charge for disability signed by "N.W. Batchelden, Lt. Col. Mass. 13th Commander of the Post." has re- enlisted in the 17th Me.
Gorham. John O. Winship Co. A. Me 5th holds a did-
charge dated July 29th' 61 for bron- chitis, on recommendation of the Surg. signed only [underlined] by Maj S. C. Hamilton. I saw him on his return. I have seen him often since. He appears altogether capable to be in the Service. Is off fishing now. I shall order him to Augusta as soon as I can see him.
