Bangor August 8th/62 to his excellency the Governor

Sir At the request of the numerous friends of Orderly Sergeant Frank Trickey of Comp A, 2nd Maine Regt, who are desirous of hos promotion. I take pleasure in recommending him, to your notice, and can truly say that he is an officer who by study and long experience, in the service of his Country, has rendered himself worthy of a Lieutenantcy(?) in one of the new Regt. and also that he is a moral, temperate, and gentlemanly young man.

Respectfully yours A.P. Wilson Capt. Co F 2 Maine Regt
