[Message from Senate informing of their organization &c]

Mr Williamson came down with a Message from the Senate, to inform this House, that the Senate had elected John Chandler Esquire for their President; and Ebenezer Herrick Esqr for their Secretary: and that the Senate were now organized, and ready to proceed on public business.

Col Reed of Waldoborough was charged with a message to the Senate, to inform them, that this House had made choices of Benjamin Ames Esqr for their Speaker and James Loring Child for their Clerk.

[Message sent to the President of the convention on same subject.]

Mr Redington of Vassalboro', Mr Smith of Wiscasset, Mr Sprague of Hallowell, Mr Moody of Wells and Mr Greenleaf of Portland, were appointed a Committee to wait on the President of the Convention, and inform him of the persons whom this House had appointed for their Speaker and Clerk.
