Ruggles election &c] The Committee on Elections to whom was referred the Remonstrance of the Selectmen of Addison and others - report - that no evidence has been adduced to support the remonstrance and that Thomas Ruggles was duly elected, and is entitled to a seat in this House.

[Counsellor Whitney] [proposition for a convention to qualify him.] Mr Moody came with a message from the Senate, proposing a convention of the two houses at 10 oclock this day, for the purpose of qualifying William C Whitney Esqr as a Counsellor to advise the Governor in the Executive part of government.
