On motion of Mr Coolidge, Ordered that Messrs Coolidge, Chase & McCobb be a committee to enquire what further provisions are necessary to secure the public against Hawkers, Pedlars and Petty Chapmen, with leave to report by bill or otherwise read & passed.

[Remonstrances]

Remonstrances of the Selectmen of Kittery against the petition { of James Paul & als for the erection of a Bridge - of the Selectmen of the town of Kennebunk against { the petition of Simon Rowell & als - were, read and referred to the committee on turnpikes, bridge and canals.
