How many patients are there? A. There are 34. Q. They are kept by themselves are they? A. Yes, sir. Q. Has Peter Haines been among those? A. He is on the lower floor. I dont have anything to do with that ward, and have nothing to do with him personally. Q. Is he in good health? A. I dont know but that he is. Q. Do you see him frequently? A. Yes, sir Q. Do you know about his habits of work there? A. No, I could not tell. I know he goes to the coalhouse at work. I have seen him there wheeling coal, but how much he works I could not state.
