[page 820] and perhaps felt that she might as well die as to live. But no husband ever feels so, I judge, as far as I know. But it may be true. He might have been night. But I thought perhaps that was the view he might have taken of it in part, not unkindly but kindly. And so after a while he gave nothing. And this had to be given with great patience.
