[page 825] Ques. Was the coat I saw him have on today his usual working coat, at the present time. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. Did he usually wear his coat about his work. Ans. Part of the time, and part of the time he does not. He will not wear a vest; we have put one onto him and he will take it off. Ques. It is testified that he were his chest open, his shirt unbuttoned, how is it about that. Ans. He does. It has been buttoned for him and he would unbutton it; prefers to go with it in that way. Ques. He wheels coal in the engine room. Ans. Yes, from the coal shed into the fire room, a distance of not over 50 to 75 feet; less in summer than winter. Ques. Whether that is any part of it out doors. Ans. It is all one connected roof with the exception of two or three loads of ashes he has to wheel out. The rest of it is all under cover. When he goes to get coal it is all under cover, goes from the fireroom, through the gas room, into the coal shed. Ques. How long does it take him to make one trip. Ans. Perhaps 5 minutes. Ques. What is the temperature of the fireroom.
