Were you one of the attendants who served on the middle floor. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. You knew the man on that floor who used to work in the bake shop. Ans. Yes; he was subject to fits of violence. Ques. At those times was he taken by some of these five attendants to the lodge, when taken at all. Ans. Yes sir; four is the least number I ever saw taking him to the lodge. Ques. Whether it would always be 4 out of this particular 5 on that floor. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. Do you remember one time the last of 1879 when you with three or four of the others took him to the lodge. Ans. Yes sir. He was violent that day, resisting. Ques. Did you stay with him till he was left in the lodge. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. Whether at the lodge or at anytime in the progress, in carrying him there, any of the attendants took him down and in my way jumped upon him or put their knees in his stomach or anything of that kind.
