[page 950] were discharged. Think the Dr. has given me such names as he could from time to time Ques. Did he call attention to any instances of abuse or otherwise that had occurred during all the time he was there? Ans. Not to my recollection, because he purposed to come and hear his own testimony without any help of mine. Ques. You relied upon him to furnish the facts chiefly? Ans. No, sir, I relied upon him to come and bear his own testimony; but in council, in conversation, probably when I asked in reference to this or that man, if he had been in the hospital, he gave me the advantage of his knowledge, if he had been there. He gave me the names of persons for the purpose I have indicated. Ques. Did he tell you in substance that such and such witnessed could furnish you with some good points against the hospital and its management? Ans. I dont remember the language that he used.
