Report on petition of Asa Brown & al of New Sharon, granting an order of notice, came down accepted for concurrence - The House amended the report by adding at [X] the words "and the American Advocate printed at Hallowell" - accepted it as amended and sent it up for concurrence.

[Committee - Snow in highways]

Ordered that Messrs Chase of Livermore, Merrill of Brunswick & Ingalls of Bridgton be a committee to enquire into the expediency & practicability of making further provision by law for the treading down or otherwise removing snow in the roads and highways in this State, when the same in necessary for the accomodation [accommodation] of travelers, - read & passed.
