Petition of Jedidiah Herrick to be reimbursed the sum of 25 $ paid by him on his appointment to the office of Sheriff of Penobscot County - was read & referred to the committee on New trails - Sent up for concurrence.

Message from Governor - dated February 2d 1824 [see appendix page 224]

The foregoing message referred in Senate to Messrs Wheeler & Anderson came down from the Senate to be joined by the House - The House concurred & Messrs Wilder, Buckman & Beal were appointed on the part of the House.

[Petition -]

Petition of Albert Newhall & als of Cumberland Bank for an increase of the capital stock of said Bank - was read & referred to the committee on Banks & Banking - Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee - inoculation for kine pock]

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Campbell & Small with such as the House my join to take into consideration the expediency of devising some mode of enforcing inoculation with the kine pock - and the House concurred & Messrs Burgin, Hutchinson & Morse were joined.

[Bill - inholders &]

Bill additional to the act for the regulation of inholders, retailers & common victuallers was read a 3d time & passed & passed as in a new draft to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Resolve - Jona Nelson]

Resolve in favor of Jonathan Nelson which was in this House referred to the next Legislature, came from the Senate non curred & rejected. The House receded from their votes & concurd the Senate.
