Report on petition of Jacob Scholfield & others, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate amended by referring the subject to the next Legislature for concurrence - The House refused to concur in the reference and accepted the original report - Sent up.

Resolve in favor of Ebenezer C Wilder, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to incorporate the Portland Rifle Corps, came from the Senate passage refused for concurrence - The House reconsiderd their former votes & concurred the Senate.

Bill respecting the endorsement of Writs, which passed this House on the 16th inst. came from the Senate amended as taken into a new draft for concurrence - & the House concurred.

Bill additional to an act to establish a Court of Sessions, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an act to establish a Court of Common Pleas - was called up - The vote passing the same to be engrossed, reconsidered & the subject referred to Messrs Chase of Livermore, Howard & Stone.

[Resolve - lands on Matinicus]

Resolve providing for the appointment of Agents to give deeds to owners & possessors of lands on the Island of Matinicus - was read a 2d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Bill establishing the salary of the Secretary of State - was read 1st, 2nd & 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - salary of Adjt General]

Bill establishing the salary of the Adjutant General, was read once & passage to a second reading refused - Immediately Mr Fillebrown moved a reconsideration of the vote which was negatived & on motion the subject was indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.
