concurrence of the House - and the House concurred - and thereupon, on motion, the Speaker read the causes assigned for the removal of said Rogers and 11 oclock this day was assigned to consider the same and hear the defense of said Rogers thereto and Messrs Todd, Dunlap & Leach appointed managers on the part of the House.

Ordered that James L Child Esquire, the Clerk of this House, notify Messrs Fessenden & Deblois Counsel to James M Rogers, that the House have assigned 11 o'clock this day to hear said Rogers in his defense to the charges preferred against him, at the bar of this House and that Messrs Todd, Dunlap & Leach have been appointed mangers - read & passed.

The Clerk having personally notified Mess Fessenden & Deblois according to the provisions of the preceeding order, acquainted the House therewith.

[Invitation to Senate to attend investigation]

The Clerk was charged with a message, to inform the Senate that the House are about to proceed to investigate the causes stated for the removal of James M Rogers &c, and that the House have assigned seats for the accommodation of that body if they see fit to be present during the investigation.

[Resolve - loan of 20,000]

Resolve for obtaining a loan of twenty thousand dollars, as taken into a new draft, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence
