57 10 oclock assigned for a third reading.

The Committee on Banks & Banking reported in part, an Order directing the Secretary of State to notify the President, Directors and Company of the Kennebec Bank at Hallowell to appear before a Committee of the Legislature, if they see fit, on Wednesday the thirty first day of January inst at two oclock in the afternoon, to show cause why the charter of said Bank shall not be vacated - and the House accepted the report in concurrence witth the Senate.

The Report of the Committee upon the Annual report of the Treasurer of the State," came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Thomas Kendall & al, granting an order of Notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

Petition of Christopher Atkinson & als taken from the last years files of the Senate, came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Parishes & for concurrence & the House concurred.

Petitions of Andrew Leach & als of Prospect for the proposed new County of Waldo - - of the inhabits of No 7-7th range Somerset County to be incorporated as a town Remonstrance of Thomas Eastman & als also agst the proposed new County of Waldo, were severally read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence. -

Petition of Joseph Clay & als of Bloomfield praying for the establishment of a good passable road from Kennebec river to Quebec, was read & referred to the Committee on so much of the Governors Message as relates to that subject. Sent up for concurrence
