Jan. 6: 160 men from our regiment, under command of Major Walker, went out on an exploration in the vicinity of Accotink and Pohick Runs, as a support to Capt. Heine, Topographical Engineer to Gen. Heintzelman, the distance travelled was between 30 and forty miles, crossing Accotink Run and striking the Pohick at several points.
