223 Wednesday February 12, 1834 Met according to adjournment Mr. Hammons of Elliot has leave of Absence from and after this day during the remainder of the session

Report on Petition on Inhabitants of Carthage, praying that the Legislature would grant them assistance was read and recommitted in concurrence with the Senate - sent up. Petition of Samuel Weston & others in favor of the proposed dam at Augusta was read and referred to the committee who have that subject under consideration - in concurrence with the Senate - sent up.

Petition of Ebenezer Hutchinson and 55 others " of Thomas Dinsmore Jr & others " of Thomas Norcross and 23 others - each in favor of the proposed dam at Augusta also Remonstrance of Arthur Berry & 306 others " of Proprietors of Steamboat Ticonic " of Peter Grant & others " of Joseph Locke & others " of Isaac Farrar & others " of Franklin Smith & others " of Eben Bacon & others each against the same were severally read and referred to the committee who have that subject under consideration - sent up for concurrence.
