�night before last - Leander Martin dies. He died suddenly from the effects of sun stroke. He fell asleep in the sun, and while asleep his cap came off his head. All of the Hope boys excepting Corporals Dunton and Cotton are on duty. Neither of these them are much sick. Our Regt. attended divine service at the Baptist church today. It is a spacious building and with our Band to furnish the music we had a very pleasant time. This is a grand place.
