Communications were received from Edmunt Mann and Daniel Emery signifying their acceptance of the office of Counsellors. Read and sent down.
On motion of Mr. Clark Ordered, that a message be sent to the House of Representatives proposing a Convention of the two Houses in the Representatives Hall this day at twelve o'clock, for the purpose of qualifying Edmund Mann, Edward Williams, Seth Labaree, Daniel Emery and Benjamin Carr, Counselors elect, who, have sev- erally signified their acceptance, and their readiness to take and subscribe the oaths of office. Which message was delivered by the Secretary.
A message was received from the House of Rep- resentatives informing the Senate that the House had concurred in the foregoing proposition.
A message was received from the Governor trans- mitting the Annual Report of the Adjutant General, which was read, and, on motion of Mr. Emmons, ordered to lie on the table and that four hundred and fifty copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.
Petition of Charles Dothier and others for an act of Incorporation for the purpose of clearing obstruc- tions in Dead River, & for other purposes, referred from the last to the present Legislature, read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
