214 On motion of Mr Jewett of Portland Ordered that Messrs Jewett of Portland Hastings of Robinston Tuttle of Canaan Jarvis of Ellsworth Vase of Augusta Chase of Frankfort Hyde of Bath Hammond of Elliot Bolster of Rumford and Smart of Plymouth with such as the Senate may join be a committee to enquire into the expediency of ascertaining the number of Build persons within this State of Thirty years of age and under and also to consider the expediency of marking an appropriation for their education with leave to report by Bill or otherwise Read and passed sent up for concurrance

The Committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly engrossed Resolve in favour of Samuel Holden which was finally passed sent up for concurrence
