228 The committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Resolves, authorizing a temporary loan in behalf of the State - in favor of the town of New Portland which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as truly engrossed, Bill An Act to establish the Waterville Liberal, Institute to incorporate the Vassalboro Academy to prevent the introduction of Paupers from foreign Ports or places in addition to an act directing the method of laying out and making provision for the repair and amendment of Highways which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Tiffany of Sidney

 Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so amending or changing the language of the 1st section of an additional Act respecting the qualifications of voters in town affairs approved Feb 6 1833. That the same may be more explicit.

Bill An Act exempting Fishing Boats from attachment, was read once and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2nd reading

Bill An Act in addition to an Act to regulate the jurisdiction and proceedings of Courts of Probate, was read a 3rd time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence
