Saturday February 7th 1835

Met according to adjournment

An order came from the Senate instructing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire if further legislation is necessary for the better security of Creditors to Insolvent Estates, and the House concurred.

Resolve in favor of Prentess Mellen was read once assigned for a 2nd reading on Tuesday next, and referred to the committee on Finance.

Bill to increase the Capital Stock of the Exchange Bank, was read a 3rd time and ordered to lie on the table. and until Friday next at 10 oclock

Resolve providing for the purchase and distribution of Greenleafs Reports, was read a 2nd time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the State.

Resolve for the relief of a Samuel Leach read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Bill to set off a tract of land from Lewiston to Greene was read a 3rd time and amended as on sheet annexed marked B and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jonas Farnsworth and and others for an alteration in the law regulating the fisheries in Penmaquan Stream was read and referred to the committee on the Judiciary Sent up for concurrence.
