212 Bill An Act to prevent the circulation of small Bank Bills, was laid on the table by Mr Chase of Sebec, read 1st and 2nd time and ordered to be laid on the table and 500 copies printed for the use of the Legislature

Bill An Act in addition to an Act respecting Wills and Testament, and regulating the descent of Interstate Estates, was taken up and discussed, and then on motion ordered to lie on the table.

A Communication was received from the Governor see appendix page 345 informing the Legislature that a vacancy in the office of Major General exists in the second Division of the Militia of this State

On motion of Mr Woodman of WIlton

 Ordered that tomorrow at 10 oclock be assigned for coming to the choice on the part of the Hease of Major General for the second Division of the Militia of this State.

The House assigned Thursday next at 10 oclock to take up the consideration of the Resolve respecting a Rail Road from Quebec.

Memorial of William Moore and als William Strafron and als James Ford and others John M Foster and others J P Wilmon and others all relating to the application of N Bingley and others for leave to build a Bridge across Kennebec River was read and referred to the committee who have the subject under consideration. Sent up for concurrence
