A communication was received form the Secretary of State transmitting the Returns of Agricultural Societies, made to the Secretary Office in January last read and referred to the Committee on Agriculture. Sent down for concurrence, concurred.

The Report of Lieut. Col. Long of a reconnaissance [?] for a Rail Road from Lubec to our Atlantic Sea Board was taken up and referred to the Committee on Rail Roads and Canals. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill in relation to petitions for Acts of incorporation for Canals and Rail Roads reported in the House by the Committee on Canals and Rail Roads; came up amended and recommitted to the same Committee with instructions to report the Bill in a new draft - read and recommitted in concurrence.

Mr Benson, from the Committee of Conference on a disagreement of the Two Houses in reference to an order originating in the House, relative, to the distribution of Lieut. Col. Long's Report, with accompanying Documents on a reconnaissance of a Rail Road from Luebec to our Atlantic sea board, reported that each Branch recede from its former vote in reference to said order and that the same be so amended that twenty copies of said Report and Documents be distributed to each member.
