Remonstrance of Inhabitants of Knox against the petition of Selectmen of Montville severally read and referred to the Committee on Division of Towns in concurrence.

A message was received from the Governor communicating the Report and Resolution of the State of Georgia in relation to the movements of the Abolitionists of the North, which were read and referred to the Joint Select Committee to which were referred the South Carolina Resolutions. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

A communication was received from the Governor transmitting the Report of the Inspectors of the State Prison at Thomaston. Ordered, on motion of Mr. Jarvis, that 500 copies of said Report be printed for the use of the Legislature, Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Staples from the Committee on Claims reported leave to withdraw on the petition of the Selectmen of Dover -read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Fish from the Committee on State Lands reported leave to withdraw on petition of Daniel J. Perley -read and accepted, Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
