On motion of Mr. Emmons, The Senate reconsider the vote whereby they passed to be engrossed "Bill to incorporate the Augusta High School," and the same was ordered to lie on the table.
Mr. Emmons, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported reference to next Legislature on petition of Peter Adams -- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
The Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals reported legislation inexpedient on Bill entitled an Act concerning corporations for Bridges -- read and accepted in concurrence.
Resolve providing for the purchase of a site for a Gunhouse in Paris was read the second time and reference to the Committee on Militia Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill additional concerning pounds, beasts impounded and stray beasts (reported by Mr. Chandler from the Committee on the Judiciary, on petition of Elijah Wood and others, and an order relative to pounds) was read once, and the same, on motion of Mr. Emmons, was ordered to lie on the talbe and that 350 copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.
Bill to annex Joseph Stackpole and others to Albion, was taken up and indefinitely postponed, Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill to incorporate the Maine Episcopal Missionary Society was read the second time and the same, on motion of Mr. Bartlett, was ordered to lie on the table.
