301 the revised Statutes (laid on the table by Mr. Randall, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill additional relating to Enginemen came up from the House amended. The Senate adopt the first, third and fourth amendments, nonconcure with the House in their second proposed amendment, and further amend said Bill by inserting the new section after Section 2, and changing Section 3 to Sec. 4. and pass the same to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve in favor of Hall Clements was read the second time. Mr. Robin moved the indefinite postponement of said Resolve; and the question of indefinite postponement, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follow, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Barnard, Bartlett, Brown, Clark, Emmons, Farnham, Fish, F. Greene, McLelland, Pierce, Purinton, Randall, Read and Tobin. 14. Nays. Messrs. Allen, Burnham, Chandler, Latham, Mantor, Miller, McIntire, Prescott and Smith. 9. Send down for concurrence.

The Senate adopt the 1st, 2d, 3d, and 4th amendments proposed by the House and further amend the same and pass said Bill to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Adjourned.
