258. A message was received from the Governor transmitting the copy of a letter received the fifth instant from Asa Redington Jr. Esq. Treasurer of State with the communications accompanying the same by which it will be seen that the condition contained in the "Resolve for establishing an Insane Hospital," passed March 8,1834, requiring the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars to be raised by individual donations, has been complied with --- read and referred to the Committee that have under consideration so much of the Governor's message as relates to an Insane Hospital. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to regulate the sale of Oats was read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Moosehead Steam Navigation Company, Resolve for the repair of the Gunhouse in Wiscasset, " relating to the publication of Special or Private Acts and Resolves, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve respecting the Gaol in the County of York (reported in the House by a Select Committee of that Body) was read twice and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Committee on Accounts to inquire into the expediency of allowing to Elisha North of Westbrook the prayer of his petition submitted to the Governor and Council and by a Committee of the Council recommended to be referred to the aforesaid Committee -- read and passed, in concurrence.
