From Sugar Island upwards the Banks are much higher than below, the good land extends further back from the river- Sugar and Olemon are beautiful Islands, the latter contains 500 acres, the former 200 excellent soil, growth hard woods.-

Olemon, or Paint Stream, so called, by reason of the Indians having formerly found good red paint or red ochre on this Stream.-
