Friend Hodsdon

Dear Sir

 Bed sacks

were furnished the 18th Regt. by the state, the Regt. while here did not use them, nor did they take the sacks with them, but left them in my care.

Have just rec'd a letter from Pitcher requesting me to send the sacks on an also to get them on free of expense if possible as they have recd no pay & are very short of money, Please inform me how to forward them by return mail. Have not sold the [? ] yet will do the best I can

In haste L.J. Moore
