I Simon Harriman of Bangor in the County of Penobscot Blacksmith do on Oath hereby testify & say that in the month of April 1777. I enlisted into the Service of the Revolutionary war for two months, in Capt Samuel Johnsons Company, Col [?] Regt - I joined my Regt at Providence: I served my said term out & was regularly discharged at Bristol R.I. after nearly three months service: - In August of the same year, I inlisted again in Capt Joseph Eatons Company + Col Johnsons Regt for four months: We joined our Regt at Benningston, joined Gen Gates' army at [?] went on to Saratoga: I was in the battle at Still water [?] to the surrender of [?] We went on to Schinds dills [underscored] Manner in N.York, when I was regularly discharged: In August 1779 I inlisted again in Capt Evans' Company - Col Wades Regt. We joined our Regt. at Providence & I served in this Regt two months; part of the time in the said Evans' Company & part in Capt Jon. Ayars's Company; and was regularly discharged at West Parish, in the year 1780. I have served in the Continental among upwards of sixteen months in all: I was regularly discharged : I am now under reduced circumstances & need the assistance of my country for support. - Simon Harriman
