1183 A. (cont.) should think it had been progressive ever since I have been acquainted with it. When I went there all the water they had except what they hauled from the river was caught from the eaves and brought from a spring through a three inch pipe and often times not water enough to fill that. When I left they were at work upon the waterworks. The ventilation was commenced before I left. I was through thee halls yesterday
