To the Governor + Council of the State of Maine
The subscribers citizens of Old Town, respectfully ask the appointment of Albert Richardson of this place as Agent for the Penobscot Tribe of Indians-
We have known him for some time and believe him to be fully qualified for the position, and of unquestioned moral character-
