Duties--study the practice and procedure, both at law and in equity, of the Supreme Judicial and Superior Courts. Members--any number from the Maine State Bar deemed feasible by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court.

4.22--Committee to Study Needs for a Traffic Court System. Created by P.&S.L. 1973, c. 116.

Duties--determine the needs for a traffic court system and other methods of handling traffic violations.

Members--Chief Judge of Maine District Court, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Public Safety, and 6 more appointed by Commissioner of Transportation.

4.23--Commission to Revise the Trial Court System. Created by P.&S.L. 1973, c. 139.

Duties--supervise the preparation, in final legislative draft form, of a proposed merger and reorganization of the trial courts.

Members--4 members of the bar, 2 of whom shall have been active in the trial of criminal cases; 3 of the general public all appointed by the Governor. Attorney General shall be ex-officio.
