The Committee of both Houses to whom was referred the remonstrance of the town of Gardner [Gardiner] reported that they had attended to the subject & find a mistake of 8588 1/2 tons of shipping amounting in value to $60,119.50 included in the valuation of that Town & recommend that the valuation as reported be so amended as to deduct that amount from the valuation of the town of Gardner [Gardiner] & also that the same sum be deducted from the amount of the valuation of the County of Kennebec in which said Town is situated. Read & accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
