He was in the engine room some where, and I think at the forge. Q. Was there any thing else than the wash dish to drink out of? A. Yes, sir, there was a dipper that the men used. Q. How did he compel him to drink out of it? A. No compulsion about it at all. Peter didn't know better I thought. Q. He gave the dish to him and told him to drink it? A. Yes sir; asked him if he was thirsty and Peter told him he was, and he passed him the ^wash dish. Q. Did the wash dish have in it dirty water? A. Wash dish that we used when we washed our hands. There was oil in it washed from our hands. It was used in the engine room. He did not compel him to drink the water left after washing our hands; but the dish was not particularly clean.
