The committee on the order to consider the expediency of appropriating a portion of the public lands for the support of schools &c - reported a reference of the subject to the next Legislature, which was in Senate accepted & sent down, for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Bill - fish in Penobscot]

Bill to prevent the destruction of Fish Penobscot river, taken from the Senates files of 1822, was referred in Senate to the Committee on Interior Fisheries & sent down for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Bill - fining towns not sending Representatives &]

Bill imposing fines on towns, neglecting to choose Representatives &c taken form the Senates files was read & referred to Messrs McIntire Cobb & Eaton.

[Courts in County of York]

A message was received from the Senate, informing the House that they had amended the engrossed Resolve relating to the location of the Judicial Courts in the County of York at A & B by inserting the words "and county officers" at each place - and the House concurred in the amendment and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.
