An order came from the Senate, directing that after Monday next the Legislature hold two sessions each day, for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Resolve - Indian Lands -]

Resolve authorizing the Governor to negotiate with the Penobscot Indians for the transfer of their Islands to the State - was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Bill - respecting Representatives in Classed districts -]

Bill respecting Representatives in classed districts - was read 1 & 2d & on motion in definitely postponed.

[Bill - marks on sheep -]

Bill respecting marks on sheep & meat cattle, came from the Senate, passage refused - The House recede & concur with the Senate.

[Bill - State Tax of $ 45120 57/100.]

Bill to apportion and assess on this State a tax of $45120 " 57 was read a 1st & 2d time & Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
