Bill explanatory of an act to organize, govern & discipline the militia of this State was read a 1st, 2d & 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an Act to establish a Court of Sessions, was read a 1st & 2d & tomorrow at 10' oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Ordered that all the papers now in possession of the House on the subject of the application of Phillip Morrell & others for a new County to be formed of several towns in the Counties of Hancock, Lincoln & Kennebec - also the petitions of Camden, Knox, Swanville, Northport, Brooks, Prospect, Waldo Plantation & Searsmont for the same object - also the petition of George Stevens & others for a division of the County of Hancock together will all others papers relative there to be referred to a special committee on this House with authority to send for persons & papers - read & passed - & Messrs Isaac Adams, Dane & Williams were appointed said committee.
