136 this State express their approbation of the distinguished services of James Monroe, President of the United States he being about to retire from that station, and the House concurred and Messrs Adams of Portland, Sweat of Parsonsfield, McCobb of Phipsburg, Shaw of Northport, Talbot of Machias, Boutelle of Waterville, Charles of Fryburg, Spooner of New Portland and Crooker of Dover were joined.
Messrs Rawson of Waldoboro obtained leave of absence after today to Messrs Morrill of Wells after Wednesday next for the remainder of the session.

A message from the Governor dated FebY 8th 1825 (see appendix page 227) transmitting the Accouonts of Samuel Call Esq one oof the Agents the Penobscot tribe of Indians & - referred in Senate to Messrs Kelsey & Churchill, came down for concurrence - and the House concurred & Messrs Leonard of Brewer, Carpenter of Sebec & Dascomb of Bloomfield were joined
Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary. Mr Speaker, The Senate have amended the engrossed Bill "to incorporate the Canal Bank" as on Sheet N. and request the concurrence of the House - " And the House concurred in the proposed amendment and notified the Senate.
Bill in addition the several acts now in force, to organize, govern, & discipline the Militia of this State, was called, up, new draft discussed & several amendments adopted & ordered to lie on the table.
Bill to incorporate the Canal Bank, was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
