[Resolve - Jona Nelson]

Resolve in favor of Jonathan Nelson, was refused a passage in the Senate & sent down for concurrence. The House referred the subject to the next Legislature & sent up the same for concurrence.

Petition of George Ramsdell of York for leave to change his name - was read & referred to committee on change of names.

[Bill - Elections]

Bill additional to the act regulating Elections - was refused a passage to a 3d reading

Petition of Cotton B Brooks that authority may be given him to present at this time certain claims he has against the estate of Mr __ Jenks to the Judge of Probate of Cumberland County with directions to him to consider the same - was read & referred to the Committee on new trials. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send down the papers in their possession relative to the County of Lincoln read & passed.

[Bill - Portland Stage Comp.]

Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the Portland Stage Company was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Bill - times of Courts Penobscot]

Bill to alter the times of holding the Common Pleas & Sessions in Penobscot County - was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate -

The Committee of this House on the subject of Pauperism reported that it is inexpedient to act upon the subject at the present session - report read & accepted.
