Mr Adams of Cherryfield had leave of absence after tomorrow and Messrs Thomas & Sheppard after Monday next.

[Bill - Militia]

The Committee to whom was referred the engrossed Bill, explanatory to an act, to organize, govern & discipline the Militia of this State, reported that the same ought not to pass - report read & accepted.

[Resolve - Joseph Griffin]

Resolve in favor of Joseph Griffin, was read a 2d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Roll of Accounts]

Roll of Accounts reported by the joint committee of Accounts came from the Senate accepted & allowed for concurrence and the House concurred.

[Resolve for paymt of Accounts]

Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Report - Cumberland Bank]

The House took up the consideration of the report on the Resolve increasing the Capital Stock of the Cumberland Bank agreeably to assignment - accepted the report and amended the Resolve as proposed by the Committee - Mr Sturdivant moved an amendment which did not prevail - then on motion the Resolve was indefinitely postponed.

[Report - Lewiston]

Report on the Committee of the town of Lewiston praying to be annexed to the County of Cumberland granting leave for a Bill, came from the Senate endorsed as follows "accepted & the further consideration of the subject referred to the next Legislature. The House concurred the Senate in accepting the report & nonconcurred them in referring the subject to the next Legislature.
