10.12--Department of Development of Industry and Commerce Advisory Board. Created by P.L. 1955, c. 471 § 7. Name changed to Department of Economic Development Advisory Council by P.L. 1957, c. 123, § 7. Repealed and replaced by P.L. 1963, c. 346.

Duties--review departmental activities, make recommendations, render advice to Commissioner of the department.

Members--Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture, Commission of Inland Fisheries and Game, Forestry Commissioner, Commissioner of Sea and Shore Fisheries and 23 public members to be appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Council, 1955-1963. 7 appointed by the Governor, 1963--.

Duties--administer regulations relating to mining, conservation and rehabilitation of land. --M.R.S.A. Title 10, § 5.

Members--5 appointed by Governor with advice and consent of the Executive Council, 1 representative of mining interests, 1 representative of conservation interests, 3 public representatives, 2 of whom shall be trained in the fields of geology, planning, biological science or civil engineering, no more than 3 shall be of same political party.
