Tuesday, January 13th 1829

Met according to adjournment

On motion of Mr. Mowry of Lubec, Ordered that the Committee on Interior Fisheries take into consideration what alterations are necessary, if any, to the act passed Feby 3d 1824 entitled an act to prevent the destruction of the Fish called, Salmon, and alewives in Dennys river and Pinmaquan in the County of Washington - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

A certificate of the election of Joseph Lufkin of Pownal was laid upon the Speaker's table read & referred to the committee on Contested Elections.

Petition of Timothy Howe & als a committee of the town of Turner for authority to appropriate the interest arising from the sale of their Schools Lands & came from the Senate referred to the Committee on the Judiciary for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of Benjamin Weston & others praying to be incorporated for the purpose of building a Bridge across the Kennebec River from Anson to Madison, taken from the files and referred in Senate to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals, came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Joseph Hutchinson & al, granting an order of notice came down accepted in Senate for concurrence and the House concurred.
